Great Conjunction
"Premiere Show"
Original Air Date: 8/9/12

In a world with seven-billion people, each on their own path, where do we find connection? Seven-billion paths to the Divine; is there a place where we come together? Our Great Conjunction? Let's find out together.

Welcome to Great Conjunction on Paramania Radio. I am your host, John Michael Thornton. This week we are exploring what this show is going to be as I tell you a little bit about myself and what to expect over the coming weeks. In the second half of the show we're going to open-up the phone lines for your experiences with the metaphysical, your comments and your questions. There is so much out there for us to explore; let's get started.

Welcome to Paramania Radio's Great Conjunction. I'm your host, John Michael Thornton and welcome to our first show. I'm so excited about this and I'm really excited to tell you about what we've got in store over the coming weeks. I've been thinking about this show for a while and when Paramania first contacted me it was mid-June and I was getting ready to leave the country for three-weeks and it was this wonderful experience and this wonderful opportunity and my first thought was, "Oh, I can't think about this right now, can I get back to you?" I was able to ask a few questions before I left, but really, it was more a matter of, "Okay, this needs to go into the back of my head and I need to be focusing on what's happening right now."

I was leaving for a yoga retreat right on the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. It was such a rich and full experience, but in the back of my head were the thoughts of, "What am I going to say to Paramania Radio?" When I got home it was sort of clear in my head what I needed to do and what I wanted to do. I wanted to create a show that explored the vastness of the metaphysical realm and of the paranormal. I've been a guest on a lot of shows over the past several years and so many of them focus purely on the psychic or on spirits and ghosts and it was great, it was a lot of fun, it was a blast to just focus on that one small part of the paranormal realm. But I grew up in a metaphysical family; I grew up exposed to a wide variety of psychics and astrologers and yoga teachers and metaphysicians and people who focused on dreams and palms and reflexology and there's so much out there. There's so much out there to explore and there are so many opportunities for us to expand out knowledge of the universe. And that's what I wanted to bring to you here.

So a little general housekeeping, the way I've envisioned this show, and I reserve the right to change it at any time, is every other week it will be a solo show with me talking to you about specific topics and exploring what it means to be a psychic and a person in this metaphysical world. I'll also be taking your questions in the second half of the show and let me give you the number for that; the phone number is 919-295-0150. We will not be taking calls until about 10:30, but you may feel free to call earlier and get in line. So while I enjoy the calls, and I love talking to you, that's what we're going to be doing every other week.

On the opposing weeks, what I wanted to do was introduce you to some of the amazing people I've met along my journey. We'll be talking to different guests every other week and looking at their experiences and their journeys along their spiritual paths.

One of the things that I've learned in my career is that there is no one path to the Divine. There is no one path to your best spiritual realm. There are as many paths to the Divine as there are people on this planet; over seven-billion of us at this point. There's always more to explore and there are always other view points to explore.

So I've got our first two guests booked and I am very excited. We're going to be going back into my history for these first two guests. Next week is an amazing yoga teacher and metaphysical explorer and dancer and teacher by the name of Abbey Alter. I first met Abbey when I was seventeen-years old and just starting to explore yoga. She's the toughest yoga teach that I have ever had and, quite possibly, one of the toughest people I've ever known. She got her degrees in dance, explored ballet, ran the official ballet company in the Virgin Islands and has traveled around the world before deciding to come back to Sharon, PA and run a yoga and dance studio and ignore every person who denounced her. I remember going to class many times and Abbey telling me, "I had another minister tell his congregation that I was from Satan this week." So Abbey is going to be joining us next week to talk about her experiences and her journey into the metaphysical and how yoga has effected that.

Two weeks later, we're going to have the woman who taught me how to give psychic readings. Her name is Linda Schilller-Hanna. At the time I met her, she was running the Natural Psychic School of Metaphysics. Working with her taught me how to control my spiritual gifts and learn how to share with other people what I was experiencing without sounding like a lunatic.

Those are the two women we have to look forward to and I've got so many other people to introduce you to in the coming months.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and how I came to be here with you on this Wednesday night.

I grew up in a very metaphysical family. My parents actually met through the A.R.E., the Association for Research and Enlightenment. You'll hear me talk about the A.R.E. and its founder, Edward Cayce, quite a lot.

Edgar Cayce was a psychic at the beginning of the last century and one of the most famous prophets and psychics in the world and certainly America's most famous psychic. Everyone that you've heard of now, from Sylvia Brown to John Edwards, cannot compare with Edward Cayce with his more than fourteen-thousand readings. At the time, he actually advised the President and gave thousands of readings, many of those readings, and the one's he became famous for, were health readings. Over time, working with his faithful stenographer, Gladys Davis, those readings were taken down and finally digitized.

The reason why Cayce's work is so important is because it still exists. Most of us give readings and they're gone; we pass on the information and it hopefully makes an impression on the client. But it's gone. Cayce's readings were transcribed and you can now buy a copy of the digital data base from the A.R.E. But fourteen-thousand readings; fourteen-thousands bits of communication between Cayce's source and the clients. From his work, the A.R.E. grew and, at times prospered and at times floundered, but one thing that it has always done very well is bring people together; the way that it brought my parents together.

My mother grew up in Beaumont, TX. When she graduated from college, she decided she wanted to do something good for the world and enrolled in the Vista program. Vista was Peace Corps for the United States, where the U.S. government would take bright, young students and ship them to the worst, crummiest, nastiest places in the U.S. and say, "Go forth and make this a better world." So my mother was taken from her Southern home and shipped to Youngstown, OH in the seventies, in the race riots and she lived in the ghetto. Specifically, she lived in the Projects. During that time, she got involved with some of the activities at the local university and she met my father, who was already involved with the A.R.E. and was an engineering student who was also studying astrology and focusing his studies on dreams and exploring reincarnation and really trying to figure out what else was "out there'".

My father's family wasn't "in to" the metaphysical. He stayed "respectable"; he's still an engineer to this day. My father invited, I think he said, over sixty people to an A.R.E. conference and only one of them showed and that was my mother. The two of them, well, this is the part where no kid ever really knows the truth, became heavily involved with the local A.R.E. and the local study groups sponsored by the A.R.E. (they also sponsors study groups across the country and around the world). At one point my parents were living with a woman who ran one of the local study groups, Thelma Zuschlav, whom I spent most of my childhood calling Grandma; I was one of those lucky kids who had three grandmothers.

My parents explored a little bit of mediumship, tried some table tipping and it wasn't for them. They focused more on personal study, meditation and dreams, exploring reincarnation and working with the Cayce program "The Search for God", which was put together when a group of people who told Edgar Cayce that they wanted to do what he did. He told them this it was not easy and began a series called "The Search for God Study Group Readings".

My parents, are to this day, very involved with the "Search for God" groups and that community was one that fostered me as a child. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to meet some of the most amazing people; authors, writers and lecturers on metaphysics and ancient mysteries and ancient cultures, reincarnation and past lives. At dinner we would always talk about our dreams and Dad would talk about astrology. There was always so much out there and it was never a question of, "Is there more than we can see", but more of, "How much is there."

We stayed involved with the A.R.E. We went to dozens of conferences at the A.R.E. headquarters in Virginia Beach and I spent over fourteen summers at the A.R.E. camp, both as a student and camper and finally as a counselor there. So that metaphysical community has always fostered me. Even though I knew that "psychic stuff" was weird to the rest of the world, it was never really weird to me.

When I was in my early teens I started having my own psychic experiences. The first was a past-life memory, followed by a few others. Then I started to become aware of the energy of the people around me. I was seeing auras and chakras; I was feeling them very strongly. When you're starting to become very sensitive like that, the worst place you could be is high school. Even though I knew what was happening, I still couldn't really control it. I do feel lucky that I wasn't one of those kids who gets a lot of mediumship; I was never pestered by the dead; I was occasionally pestered by other things, but not necessarily ghosts of thos who've walked before.

During this time, as I was trying to figure out what was going on, my family and another family, Bob and Jaquie Heath and their daughter Heather, went to Virginia Beach for a New Year's conference. Bob Heath suggested everyone go to a psychic he'd heard of called Linda Schiller, saying he'd gotten a reading from her and she was great. So we did; we each got readings from Linda. Linda works very similarly to the way I work now, which makes sense since she did train me. She's a long-form reader; for the most part she offers hour-long readings; my first with her was an hour and a half. It was awful; it was a nightmare. It was terrible. I cried, she cried, it was emotional and terrible and it sucked! And at the end I thought, "Oh, thank God I never have to talk to this woman again," because it was so intense. Not that it was inaccurate or wrong, it was just very intense and very emotional and not how a fourteen-year old boy wants to spend an afternoon. It was weird.

A couple of months later, out of the blue, I got a call from Linda and she said she had been sitting in meditation and her spirit guides told her she had to contact me. I thought, "That's just weird". But we struck up an unlikely friendship and she became my mentor, my teacher, my friend; someone I could turn to when I felt like I was going bonkers, which has happened quite a few times. Linda helped me to control the talents and abilities that were starting to manifest. Interestingly enough, Cayce said that there are three times when psychic abilities will spontaneously manifest in people. One, of course, is birth; there are those who are born with it, grow up with it; it's all they ever really know. The second time is puberty. The third time is right around twenty-one to twenty-three years of age. I was fourteen; that was puberty for me. Linda had been in her early twenties when it happened to her.

After about a year of friendship, Linda came to Ohio and taught one of her psychic development courses. The class was comprised of my family, the Heath family and a couple friends. In that group, Linda had her youngest student to that point, me at fifteen, and her oldest student, Thelma Zuschlag who was somewhere in her late eighties at the time. It's not an exaggeration to say that experience changed my life. Since then, not a year has gone by, even why I was trying to be "normal" and was in college or living in New York City working at a bank, there's never been a year that's gone by that I haven't given psychic readings. Now that I'm older, there's not a month, usually not even a week that goes by when I don't give psychic readings. Certainly not a week goes by, and very rarely a day, that I don't work with my own intuition, work with meditation or yoga or my own psychic exploration to figure out what's going on with me and what's going on with the people around me.

So that was it; I was sixteen years old, I was a psychic, I did my first paid psychic reading, and you're a professional the first time someone hands you money. That first reading was for my mother's best friend, whom I will not name because I always do have ethical standards. But that first psychic reading for $10.00 (prices have gone up since then) sort of sent me on my way and now, twenty years later - I have been doing psychic readings for twenty-years now, it's my full-time job. It's what I tell the I.R.S. when they ask, "Who are you and what do you do and why are you sending us this money?" I say that I'm a psychic and this is how I make my living. I also teach yoga which has also been very important to me, which we'll discuss further next week.

For me, one of the most important things about this journey, and feel free to call in during the second half and ask questions either about my psychic journey or about your own, is how hard it has been to find balance and grounding in this work. Growing up, we went to conferences and when we saw a psychic, we saw one personally and it was lectures and meditation groups. It wasn't psychic fairs. I went to my first psychic fair at twenty-nine and I was shocked at how unhealthy so many of the psychics looked. How ungrounded and unbalance so many of them were. I'd always been a little surprised at how so many psychics would finish a reading then light-up a cigarette saying they needed to get grounded. One of the best transchannels I met while growing up would chain smoke between readings and as soon as her last reading of the day was over she would say, "I need a big cup of coffee and a cheeseburger. Now! Now!" Whenever she would come and stay in the local area she always stayed with a militant vegetarian; it was kind of a hoot.

I was surprised by the state of many psychics, not because I'm so incredibly balanced or so incredibly grounded though it is something that I focus very hard on. The thing that appalled and kind of frightened me was, when I would ask how long they'd been doing readings, I would get responses like, twenty-years, thirty-five-years, fifteen-years, fifty-years and I would think, "Oh, God, is that what I'm going to look like after I've been doing readings for forty-years? Is that how I'm going to feel? Is that how it's going to effect me personally? I didn't sign-up for that!"

That's also been part of my journey; how to do this work and stay balanced; how to do this work and try to stay healthy. Yoga has been very important to me. Meditation is always important. Following a healthy diet and exercise program, not that I'm always sticking to it, not that I have to stick to it every day; yesterday I needed ice cream. Finding balance is very important. Unfortunately it's not something that I hear discussed very often. I actually had a student who came to me saying that one of her teachers told her that all psychics have to be fat because their power comes from their belly. I thought, "What a load of horse-hockey!" It's not true. And it's not true that we have to be unbalance and it's not true that psychics have to be unhealthy or over weight. It's not true; there are healthier ways to do it. That's part of what I want to explore here; that's part of my journey.

As we come up to the half-way mark here, I'd like you to think about what is your journey. Where are you going? You can always ask about, what I call "the big three" for any psychic reading, health, money, love. There are so many more interesting questions and there are so many interesting thoughts out there. What is your journey on this spiritual path and how are you going about it? What guidance are you looking for? How can I help you? What would you like to hear about in the coming weeks and months here on "Great Conjunction"? There's so much out there to explore and I'm so looking forward to sharing all of it with you.

Let's break and we'll be back in just a few minutes on "Great Conjunction" with Paramania Radio.

Thank you and welcome back. If you're just joining us, my name is John Michael Thornton and this is Great Conjunction on Paramania Radio. We're taking calls in the second half of the show and the call-in number is 919-295-0150. You can call about any question you have, but like I said, I'm also really interested in your spiritual journey.

As we're waiting for the calls, first show and the phone lines are still pretty quiet, I'd like to say hello and welcome to all of our listeners out there. The Producer, Dave, was telling me about some of the places that we're getting "hits" from, or the places where people are tuning in. Sounds like we've got a good number of people from the UK; we've got someone from South Africa, I think I might know who that is; people from all across the United States so thank you for listening. I'm glad you joined us tonight and I hope you'll stick with us because there's a lot more to come.

A little bit more about myself. I probably should spend at least a few seconds rattling off ways that you can get a hold of me. I do offer psychic readings and, like I said, I've been doing psychic readings for twenty-years this past March.

Here's the thing, you do something for a long time and you start to forget how long you've been doing it. I wasn't aware that it was my twenty-year anniversary until January. I had to fill-out some new paperwork for the state of Ohio and because of that, I had to get a copy of my minister's license. When I did my psychic training with Linda Schiller she said we were all ordained as part of the training, both for spiritual reasons but also for legal reasons. A lot of states do consider psychic readings to be counseling without a license and being a minister grants you the religious exemption for that.

So I had to go and... I'll admit that my files are not in back to when I was sixteen. I'm sure that there are people out there who have impeccable files of everything that's happened to them in their entire lives; I'm not one of them. So I had to contact the organization through which we were ordained and ask could they please do a records check for me. A few weeks later I received this brand new copy of my minister's license that's got the original ordination date on it and it was 1992 and I thought, "1992; seriously. Wow, it's been twenty-years. I should probably do something." So I decided exactly what I'm going to do. I probably should have had a big party, but that didn't happen.]

So it's been twenty-years and during that time, you really change how you look at things and how you do your psychic work. But one thing that has really solidified is that I still do that same style of reading that I learned from Linda. I still ask you to say your name. At this point it comes down to a steady pattern, "Well, I'm going to ask you to say your name and if you say if for me three-times it helps me get the vibration and I'll do my opening bit and we can talk about anything you want to talk about. If at any time you have questions, comments, want clarification please feel free to stop me at any time if you've got something really important you know you want to talk about, please get it in early in the reading. All right, let's get started." I've said that thousands of times.

I do phone readings and I also do in-person readings. I do travel a bit and you can always find out where I'm going to be at johnmichaelthornton.com, that's my personal website. You can pay for your readings on-line and soon you'll be able to book your readings on-line as well. The other place you can get a hold of me is at the second home of this radio show and that is greatconjunction.org.

I've actually had Great Conjunction for a long time; it started in 2005 as Ohio Metaphysics. I wanted to come up with a place where people could find psychic fairs and other psychics and people in the metaphysical community and talk and explore and really make it easier to find other people in the area. It all started from one of those moments where I was sitting in my parent's house because I had just moved back to Ohio and hadn't yet gotten my own place. I was doing psychic fairs and I said, "Somebody ought to make it easy to find psychic fairs in the area, why is it so hard?" There was no one else in the room, so I guess I was the only one to do it. And Ohio Metaphysics was born. Less than a year later I changed the name to American Metaphysics because I had people from all over the country who wanted to get involved.

About a year after that, I changed the name to Great Conjunction because I wanted to be more all-inclusive. About that time I also realized how difficult it can be to get people in the metaphysical community to agree on anything. I would go to people and say, "Hi, my name is John and I run a website called Great Conjunction where I'm trying to help people meet and connect; I got this form and you can fill it out or you can go on-line and membership in the directory is free. You can also pay to have an address listing but you can always be part of the directory and it's free so we can all get together and share information."

They'd respond with, "Free, huh? I don't know, I'll have to think about that. I'm not sure how I feel about this. How much did you say you were charging?"

"It's free."

"Free, huh? Hmmmm."

Once I had an astrologer tell me, "Looking at your chart, that doesn't sound like something you should be doing; you're way too selfish to be putting together a community site like that." He was schmuck; don't go to him. Wish I could remember his name.

Anyway, Great Conjunction; the directory is still there. It's been asleep for a little while; not a whole lot of action going on at Great Conjunction but when I decided that this was the show I was going to be doing; once again focusing on bringing people together, I realized that is a great conjunction again. So Great Conjunction needs to come alive and so greatconjunction.org has forum and a place where people can talk about every show. You'll also be able to download the recordings at paramaniaradio.com and at greatconjunction.org. There's also going to be bonus content. I got bonus content! Because I've got so much I want to tell you. And this month's bonus content, and I'm not normally going to tell you what it is. But right before I went off to Yandara Yoga School I did a yoga for meditation recording and filmed it in my parent's backyard because it's a beautiful and lush and green place. It's about a half-hour of gentle yoga segue waying into a meditation. That's going to be available at greatconjunction.org.

The other things that I have to share with you include a meditation CD that's available for sale at johnmichaelthornton.com. Eventually there's going to be a shop up at Great Conjunction; it's not there yet because I'm also my own web designer and not always the most motivated web designer in the world because I'd rather be a psychic; I don't want to be a techie. The meditation CD is a 30-minute meditation with music focusing on connecting to your chakras, working with grounding, finding balance and connecting with your spirit guides. I also have some site upgrades planned that will allow you to download it as an MP3. Till then, the CD is available for sale and that's $15, shipping included anywhere in the continental U.S.. International listeners who would like the meditation CD, I don't want to deal with Customs, so let's wait a little until the digital version is available, probably later this month. Thank you.

There is also a DVD there. There are only a few copies of the DVD left; when they are gone, they are going to be gone because I'm a little too vain to continue selling this DVD. It's got this great message; it was my first lecture at Universal Light Expo, which is the largest spiritual expo in Ohio and a couple of surrounding states. I was really excited to be given this opportunity and the lecture was called "This I Choose: Ethics and Morality of the Modern Mystic", which is one of my favorite topics and you're going to be hearing a lot about ethics and morality on this show. The lecture was recorded but it's got the worst lighting you've ever seen; I look embalmed. It's not healthy, it's not happy. I ordered a bunch of them when I first got it done and I've been slowly selling them off and when they're gone, it's just going to be the copies in existence and the one stashed in my closet. But you can also read a copy of the lecture at johnmichaelthornton.com and watch YouTube clips from that as well as a whole bunch of other content.

I've just been told that we do have a caller, so why don't we bring her on.

Caller: "Hi John".

JMT: "Hi, how are you?"

Caller: "Good. I'm known by Dune; I'm a fellow host on Paramania, but my real name is Beth. You said I needed to say my name three times? Beth. Beth. Beth. And basically, I have a few decisions I'm working through, mulling over, and I just wanted to see what you might see concerning them in the near future, so to speak."

JMT: "Okay, first thing that I want to say here is your energy feels very ruffled to me. In fact I'm even feeling that tightness right between my shoulder blades of just not being settle and I feel like right now you're not connecting to your own heart when it comes to these decisions. You're, oh, God, you're trying to be sensible, that's terrible. And not working as much with your own intuition as you could. It's one of the greatest problems that most of us in the metaphysical community have; we're so good at telling people to pay attention to their intuition and when it's our own turn we think, "Naw, I've got to be sensible and smart about this".

Caller: "Well, just to give you a little insight, which might explain that is I also have bi-polar disorder. I have no impulse control. So I have to, yes, you see, sometimes my intuition is not always my intuition. I don't know if that might change what you're sensing, but..."

JMT: "Well, that's part of the dichotomy you're working with and one of the things that's a big challenge for you in finding ways to balance. It's one of the reason why everyone says, "Well, you can't read for yourself". Because, how can you tell what is wish fulfillment and what is actual intuition. What I'm really feeling for you is, you Spirit Guides are trying so hard to talk to you right now and they're getting a little clever and creative. You need to start paying attention to the little signs and omens that are showing up and not just brushing them off as, "Gosh, that was weird, it's raining frogs. How unusual."

Caller: "Yeah, synchronicity rules my life."

JMT: "One that that I would really encourage you to do is, because of how unfocused you can be at times and how easy it is for you to get out of synch when it comes to your own personal life with the bi-polar disorder, start writing this stuff down. And also start writing down your dreams."

Caller: "Oh, I've been doing that."

JMT: "It's time to go back and start re-reading some of the stuff and looking for the patterns."

Caller: "Funny you said that. I have a stack that I have to go through."

JMT: "Well, you know, something my father does, because he's been writing down and recording his dreams for like forty-years or something like that, is he, first of all he tape records them; he keeps a tape recorder next to his bed. Then later on, either once a day or sometimes, depending upon how busy he is, at the end of the week, he transcribes them into a computer file so that it's not only easy to read but it's easy to cross reference and index. That might be something you want to explore. Right now I feel like you don't need to go back for months and months and months; just about everything you need to know about the situation is going to be in the last two-and-a-half weeks. But what I want you to do as you're looking through it, because dreams are, of course, obtuse at best, is, there's going to be some set imagery you're going to see over and over and over again. To me, I feel like it's going to be like an animal or something that's gonna show up in a number of dreams that's going to be your cue of, "Oh, this is where I need to pay attention." That's going to let you sort of start to sort between the dreams that are more prophetic and the ones that are just stuff."

Caller: "Tiger."

JMT: "Okay. The other thing that I would really encourage you to do is, you've got to get a little more grounded for this decision. Really, go play outside. Walk around outside; get the ground, the dirt under your feet and make sure you feel as grounded as possible as you're going forward, here. Because you just feel so scattered and that's going to help. The last thing that I want to add here is, you actually have fewer decisions you need to make than you're currently thinking of because a lot of this stuff is gonna get cleared up. It's one of those "if I make this decision then all of these other things are going to settle into place". It feels to me like there're only about two things you really need to decide on. Everything else is going to work itself out. But your own anxiety over how your life is going to change is what's getting in your way. So stop that. It's not helping."

Caller: "True. Very true."

JMT: "Does that make sense?"

Caller: "Okay. Oh, yeah, trust me. It makes a lot of sense."

JMT: "Okay."

Caller: "Well, thank you very much and good luck with your show. I'm looking forward to being able to listen."

JMT: "Thanks! Thanks! And what show are..."

Caller: "I do "Soul Food" on Monday nights with Jody and then we also do" Spirits Among Us" on Tuesday nights."

JMT: "Well, that's great. I'll have to check you out and everyone else can listen, too."

Caller: "Thank you very much."

JMT: "You're very welcome."

You know, that's the thing about questions. One thing that I will tell you is, and not every psychic has the same philosophy as I do. I'm never going to tell you exactly what to do. I'm never going to give you a flat-out answer. I may occasionally during a reading say, "Here's what I would do if I were in your situation, but this is not necessarily coming from Spirit." The truth of the matter is, it's not my job to tell you what to do because one of the greatest challenges that we have in this lifetime is making our own decisions and finding out own focus.

I was teaching a class in Sandusky, Ohio at this wonderful place called Karen's Wellness Center. We were talking about making decisions and the choices that life throws at us and the decisions and all this other stuff. Something I've said many times and I don't know where I heard it or where it came from, or maybe it just popped into my head one day. It was, "Everything that happens to us, everything's a lesson and everything's a test." After I said that, I looked over and Karen's eyes have gotten really big like orbs on her face and she said, "We're being tested, too?"

Everything's a lesson and everything's a test. And the way that we respond to the lessons and the little tests in our life tell the Universe what we're ready for next and help shape what we're going to be offered. The Universe never gives us a bite bigger than we're ready to take. Sometimes, and unfortunately quite often, we say, "I'm not ready for that yet. I may not be happy but I'm comfortable so I'm just going to stay right where I'm at." That's sometimes a test that we failed.

How we respond to the questions and how we respond to the opportunities in our life, that's part of the lesson. It's not just what we do, it's how we do it and it's why I can't tell you what to do. I can give you options, I can give you possibilities, I can even say, "Hey, looking at the future right now I see two most-likely timelines and here's what they are." But I can't decide for you. As much as I might want to because, gosh! Your life would run so much better if I were taking care of it! Ha! Or not.

All any of us can do is help you try to find clarity and find the ways that you can make the proper decision for yourself. That's a lot of how I try to work. I do get a lot of health information and I think a lot of that is because, having grown up with the Cayce readings and Cayce talking so much about health, I simply always thought that's how psychics worked. But when you are ill, when your health is compromised, it's so hard to focus on other things, on spirituality sometimes.

One of the reasons why so many of the great mystics in this world have been healers as well. It's a very obvious manifestation of the Divine. And while in a psychic reading, I'm not going to be laying on hands, any time health information comes through it a way for God to say, or a way for the Divine to say, it's always possible to get better. It's always possible to be more well, more balance, more healthy, more focused, more devoted than you are now. Focus on those questions.

So I told you about johnmichaelthornton.com. I told you about greatconjunction.org. Oh, let me tell you about my newest website, youngstownyoga.com. Once again, I just spent three-weeks at Yandara Yoga School in Mexico and even though I've been teaching yoga for a long time and taking yoga for about nineteen years, I'm now a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance and am expanding my yoga teaching practice here in Youngstown because it's so beneficial to find that grounding and to find that focus and balance your spiritual life with your physical. Youngstownyoga.com and there's some stuff there but more coming.

A little bit on a family note, you can find my mother, who is a practicing counselor n the Youngstown area and we're going to be talking to her later on in the season. She's at janetthornton.com. My father is writing about meditation at jim-thornton.com. And you can find links to those sites at johnmichaelthornton.com and, of course, you can always find more wonderful content and shows here at Paramania Radio.

I want to thank you all so much for listening to this inaugural show. Next week we've got Abbey Alter. She's going to be talking about yoga. Abbey's fame is already spreading. When I was at Yandara and wanted to do a little bit of a show-off, I always pull out one of Abbey's series or one of her moves and everyone is like, "Wow, that's cool; where'd you learn that?" It's Abbey's Special Blend Yoga!

So we're going to be talking to Abbey next week and then the week after that it's another solo show with me. Think abut your questions because I look forward to hearing from you. We're also going to be talking about that balance between the physical and the spiritual.

The following week it's going to be Linda Schiller-Hanna and she's going to be telling you about her experiences in the metaphysical world and also we're going to be talking a little bit about my training and my time with her over these last twenty-years. I sang at her wedding; it's been a long time.

Once again, thank you for listening to Great Conjunction on Paramania Radio. You have a wonderful night.
