As always, if you enjoy this newsletter, please forward it to a friend! Forward-to-a-Friend  I feel like I've spent the summer waiting. Waiting for new jobs to start. Waiting to teach new classes. Waiting for products to sell. Waiting for rain.It has been a terribly dry summer here in Youngstown. The grass was brown and dry before the end of June. Flowers and trees droop in the mid day sun.
I'm not a sunny day person. I luxuriate in cool, rainy afternoons. Sipping tea under a dove gray sky is often a perfect moment. These days of harsh sun and bleached white skies weary me, watching the flowers sag is a drain upon my soul. Sometimes I need to be refilled.
Sunday I had to roam. I couldn't spend another minute here, watching the lawn crisp.
Only an hour away, Jann Klose was performing at a little coffee shop. I sat by the, well watered, garden and listened to him sing.
When I drove home that night, windows open to smell of a woodland night, I felt slightly refilled... and tonight it rained.

Taken from the Tao Te Ching - via Holy Spirit for Healing by Ron Roth
 I'd like to close this month with a few words from the Tao Te Ching. I found this passage while leafing through Ron Roth's book Holy Spirit for Healing. Ron has been on my mind this past week. He recently turned 70, and while he is no longer able to teach and lecture as he once did his work and teaching continue to inspire me.
Always we hope someone else has the answer.
Some other place will be better
Some other time it will all turn out.
This is it.
No one else has the answer
No other place will be better
And it has already turned out.
At the center of your Being you have the answer.
You know who you are.
And you know what you want.
There is no need to run outside for better seeing.
Nor to peer from a window. Rather
Abide at the center of your Being.
For in more you leave it the less you lean.
Search your heart and see
The way to DO is to BE.
